Danny Rasmussen has finally set sail on his debut voyage with the release of his debut EP, Luna. His emotions and dreams are exposed to the public, letting them know how it is to sit on a mountain top in the middle of the Atlantic, with a mind filled with dreams and ambitions, surrounded by oceans, and still trying to cope with all the daily emotions that we as human beings go through.

As a young boy he started to play soccer, as many young boys do in the faroe islands. Though being a talented soccer player and touted to have a bright future in the game, he found out at the age of 17-18 that he didn't want to pursue a soccer career, not something his mother agreed with, but his main interest was music.
Instead of hanging around the other guys while staying at a soccer school in Denmark, he sat in his room writing and playing music. He didn't own a guitar of his own, so he borrowed his fathers while he worked for his stepmother to buy one of his own.

Having a huge interest in various music groups, artists etc...it was only after hearing the song ”Iris” by the goo goo dolls, that really was the insperation he needed to take off with his music. Finding everything he could about the goo goo dolls, he was introduced to the american music market, and to artists such as tracy chapman, duncan sheik, jamie walters, lifehouse etc.

But everything came to a standstill, since soccer took alot of his time and other unfortunate events in his youth took place. But all this including a few heartbreaks only fueled his songwriting, and made him want it more than ever.

After much encouragement from his best friend through several years Rúni, he decided that something needed to be done with those old songs, that only were collecting dust in the drawers somewhere. So the project got going in december 2008.
They needed musicians who were on the same page as them, they needed equipment to record with.

Rúni took the matters in his own hands and built his own home studio with everything needed to record music. And was dubbed Rulio Studios. Without Rúni's persistent support and commitment, the EP would not exsist. He arranged everything. From musicians and equipment to recording sessions.
Higly profiled musicians as Finnur Hansen, Uni R. Debess and Bjarki Meitil joined the project along with Aaron Tap, a higly rated guitarist from California, USA. Aaron has been the lead  guitarist for the singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson for some time, and was an added bouns to the project. Danny and Aaron ”met” trough Myspace, and set up an  arrangement for Aaron to do his stuff on a demo verison of ”Longing”. The version impressed Danny so much, that he instantly wanted him on the project, and Aaron was raring to go. So a nice symbiose got going and creative juices got flowing, combining the Californian sunset with the harsh and cold winds of the Atlantic. The end result is a beautifully crafted EP with depth and feelings from both worlds.
